I just went through all of the posts I had done within the past year or so, and realized they're all wedding planning,

and I realized I never posted any pictures of the actual wedding.

So here they are:

Dessert Bars!

"OH HOW I DIG DESSERT BARS!!"

Ignoring the vegan aspects, this is heavenly. I want all of it. And I want it now.

And again, I'm also too lazy to write a full post, but just go read hers, it says (and shows) everything that I would want to say.

I'd just like to draw your attention to the Chocolate Cake Lollipops in the 2nd and 3rd pictures. Yes. Chocolate Cake. On a lollipop. How delicious.

Wedding Planning Update

We've still made no decisions. At all.

None.

Well, we've decided that we don't usually like traditional wedding cakes, so we're pretty much sure we want a cheesecake. But that might actually be the only thing we've decided on so far.

So I'd like to just keep track of a few ideas for now.

Zach wants something fun, possibly slightly outrageous, and the funnier the better. He'd like something quirky which says "This is Zach and Rose's wedding." Basically, he wants it all to be individualized, and not at all generic. I agree.

While looking at The Knot, I came across some fun ideas, which I'd like to record here, so that they'll be easy for me to find, and to get anyone's opinion on them, if they feel like sharing.

A couple created comic book wedding invitations. More pictures are available at Heidi Ryder's blog, but I just think this idea is so cool.

This is awesome. My whole family is big on pictures. Each of my Aunts and Uncles has at least one wall of their house devoted to family pictures. My dad is special, so he has a whole room. But I would love to have a wall of our families' wedding pictures at the reception. I think that would be so special. Spectacular photo from Julia Newman.

Another idea that I absolutely love is this creative, 3-D photobooth photo wall. It would be beyond perfect. Photo via the incredibly talented Elizabeth Messina.

No work, but more pretties!

Ok, so obviously I'm not doing all that much work here. But I have tutored three students so far, so I feel like I'm not slacking terribly.

That being said, I have found even more things that I love on the Martha Stewart Wedding page.

First, two receptions that are awesome. The first is another awesome tent that looks both charmingly outdoors while still being sheltered from whatever weather is there. I LOVE the red and blue paper lanterns, and while the white tablecloth, folding chairs and centerpieces are a bit too monochromatic for me, the lanterns look awesome.

The second reception is taking place in a barn, and the couple got all of the chairs from flea markets and garage sales. I think the idea is quirky and cute, but I think I'd like to just have normal chairs, thanks. But omg, the trees. They're in pots in the picture, and were planted on their farm later on as part of a ceremony the next day. I think that's fricking adorable.

The second thing that I found that I'm in love with is adorable dessert tables. The first wedding had a normal cake and this cute desserts on the side, and really, who wouldn't love these? They're perfect! Also, they were made by the bride's aunt, who's a pastry chef. How come I don't have any pastry chefs in my family? And those umbrellas? I could just die!

But this second wedding, they don't have a normal cake... these freaking cute little desserts ARE the wedding cake. Look, there's the little bride and groom on top. Don't you just want to eat all of it?

New pretties!

So, Agie just introduced me to a new awesome site: the Martha Stewart Wedding page!

There are tons of awesome stuff, but since I'm supposed to be working at work, I won't write too much about how great it is.

I just wanted to share this beautiful looking reception area. I like the square tables because they're interesting looking. I LOVE the lamps, and the tent, and the fact that this feels like it's indoors, but it's outdoors at the same time. Also, the tables aren't extravagant, but they're not sparse either. Also... I would change the centerpieces, they're a bit boring.

Ok, so I found one last outdoor reception that I wanted to post here. I love this one for very similar reasons: awesome lamps (albeit quite different), relatively simple tables, outdoors (but the tent is large enough that you feel sheltered at the same time). It's pretty looking. It just needs more color and flowers. Lots more flowers.
